The downfall of Moto in India..

Hey guys what's up? Hope u guys are doing well. Today moto has launched the Moto G6 plus in India. This phone is actually launched in April in the international markets but they chose to launch it now in India. It has Snapdragon 630 under its hood and has dual rear camera of 12+5 MP. The front camera is of 16MP. The battery is of 3200 mah. But what's surprising is the pricing. They chose to launch it at ₹22499. I mean this is insane, in a price sensitive market like India where Snapdragon 845 powered Poco f1 is available for ₹20999 and Snapdragon 636 phones like Zenfone max pro M1 starts from ₹10999 how can they price like that? Moto already lost Indian market now largely dominated by Xiaomi. I don't know what's Lenovo's strategy is regarding Moto, but whatever it is, it's crap.

Sony-Viacom18 Merger

Sony Pictures and Viacom18 india, which is a joint venture between Reliance Industries Ltd(RIL) and US media giant Viacom(51:49) is in talks to merge their operations in India. Post merger Sony would have 74% stake and Viacom18 would have 26% stake. Out of which RIL may get 12%-13%. The deal is in final stage. This won't be a cash deal it will be a stock swapping deal. The deal had taken much longer time due to RIL's ongoing negotiation with Google, Facebook for its Jio platforms. This might be a game changer for sony as it will be in a much better position with 'Colors' to fight Disney india which owns entertainment channels like Star plus,Star bharat etc. They might also merge their respective OTTs Sony Liv and Voot which is not much popular as its competitors like Amazon,Hotstar etc.. Though we don't have any confirmation regarding OTT merger. RIL clearly doesn't want to handle a entertainment channel anymore. It just want content for Jio. So after the deal w...
